7 Books I Read Over and Over Again

Some books are not a read and throw books; they stay with you forever either because you love them so much or they are books that you have to go back to for guidance. I’m sharing with you guys a list of books that should be in your bookshelf.

1. The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work by John Gottman

Marriage is like a flower, the more you take care of it the more it blossoms. If you have ever wondered what seems to be preventing you from living a fully healthy marriage, this is the right book for you, even if you are living happily with your beloved one, it’s better to know what causes people to split and the depth of our psyche. Most importantly, how to even achieve a higher state of intimacy and love that would give you an inner smile and make you feel connected to you partner and to yourself. Gottman seems to have figured it all out through years of research, the guy is a specialist, he can depict whether a relationship would last of fade just by perceiving the partner’s’ behavior. Gottam in this books shares very accurate and tested blueprint that every couple integrate in their relationship. ALL the lucky people that have been leading a healthy marriage weren’t as we thought, these people are using a blueprint and it seems very common in all the victorious marriages. I always go back and consult this book for guidance and for reminding myself to keep it beautiful as it should be. Read More

2. Happier at Homeby Gretchen Rubin

The little things that we ignore everyday matter a lot and they are the blessings that we mostly don’t see when we are carried away by life and its distractions. Family is the most important blessing, that we human beings are lucky to experience. If you have a home and few people who care, go home and love them like it will be your last day with them. This is a book that I can’t live without, and I always re-read it to remind myself of what’s important and how I can make my family feel loved and happy. Happier at home, point me back and make it easier for me with its practical steps.Read More

3. A Circle of Quiet by Madeleine L’Engle

i liked this book because it’s describing a state that I am familiar with. Madeleine L’Engle in this book describes living in the thirties and she referred it it as “the tired thirties” which makes sense to me. She went on progressing and working it out and these hints inside her beautiful mind inspired me to go through it with peace in my mind and soul. Read More
