6 Harry Potter Characters Who deserve Their Own Book

1. Cho Chang

Cho Chang’s greatest contribution was giving Harry his first kiss. She’s so much more than a tepid love interest, though. The Ravenclaw student has emotional depth, jealously and wisdom. Despite her lackadaisical relationship with Harry, she still comes to his aid during the Battle of Hogwarts. What happens afterwards, though? That’s what we must discover!

2. Rubeus Hagrid

A good deal is actually known about Hagrid’s past, including his family origins. Nevertheless, he lived one of the most unique lives of any of the characters prior to the canonical story. He’s a giant, his pets are scary, and yet he’s arguably the kindest, friendliest person in the whole wizarding universe. How did he develop into such a friendly giant?

3. Neville Longbottom

Neville develops from bumbling wit into unlikely hero over the course of seven books. Over that period, he became one of the most popular characters in the entire universe. In the epilogue, it is revealed that Neville marries and becomes a Hogwarts professor, which may not be the most exciting character conclusion of all-time. Nevertheless, the tragic story of his upbringing would be a good story, as would be what Neville is up to when his Gryffindor friends are causing mass shenanigans en masse.
